C H A R A C T E R I N F O
Character Name: Full name of the character. Please write in Western order.
Series: What is your character from? Which tv show/anime/video game/movie/book/comic/whatever did they come from?
Age: How old is your character? Actually? Physically? Are they a 100-year-old loli? Anything relating to age may be specified here.
Gender/Sex: Please state canon sex and the gender that your character identifies with. It will have an affect on where they are placed in their living space.
Living Preference: Adult characters have the option to be placed in an apartment or "mistakenly" be placed in the dorms if you so choose. If you are a student and the character you play has a primary gender that does not match their sex and you would like to have them in a specific dorm based on it, please state so here as well.
Canon Point: We need a time frame. Some characters act differently and know different information dependent on where they are in their canon, so this is important.
History: Please provide a link to an outside source that summarizes the history of you character. If there are no links with sufficient information, you may provide a summary of your character's history. Please note that TV Tropes does not qualify as a sufficient link, given that many of the TV Tropes pages do not provide cohesive accounts of the characters history, just tidbits of information scattered through out the page.
Personality: This section should be your longest section. Include the characteristics of your character's personality, strengths, weaknesses, what makes them tick, any psychology, habits, quirks, common body language, anything that plays a part in who your character is. This section will be used to gauge how well you know the character and it should be reflected in your samples.
Special Abilities: Does your character have super powers or are they a tech genius? Explain that here. Your character does have the ability to regain supernatural powers, though if they are not a practiced ability they may not be able to use them when they first arrive. (For more information, see the FAQ.)
How did your character die? This game is set in the afterlife. Your character doesn't need to remember how they died, but even if it isn't canon, you should have some idea how your character got here as a player. Please share how your character died (canon or specifically for this game) and how you think it is an appropriate death. Or just say they got hit by a truck if that's something that would kill your character, because not all deaths are fabulous dramatic events.
Other: Anything else that you feel needs to be covered in your application? If there isn't, we also accept gifs for our amusement. (Though they're obviously not required.)
Samples: Please provide samples of your playing as this character. They do not need to be written in this game's universe, but they should be appropriate in length. Do not provide smut as a sample unless your character is a prostitute.
First Person: This sample needs to be written from the perspective of your character. This sample should be at least 150 words of dialogue from your character (bracket text aside), or it can be from a meme/dear_mun/etc. as long as it is a good example of your voice for the character. If it is the second option, we ask that it be from a thread at least 30 comments long, with 15 of those comments from your character. If you have a less talkative character, you may request a five-question Q&A from the mods.
Third Person: This sample should be at least 250 words long. It should provide insight into how your character thinks and acts. This sample should be more about the why behind the character's actions than what the actions specifically are. The what can be anything you want as long as it's IC as well-- saving a cat from a burning building or buying a soda from the local convenience store, it doesn't matter.
